Key requirements
- Microchip: Your pet need microchip for identification. Ensure it meets ISO standard.
- Rabies Vaccination and Certificate: Your pet must have a valid Rabies Certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian at the country of origin. The certificate must include the microchip number, date of inoculation, and validity period. This inactivated vaccine must be administered after microchipping your pet. The rabies vaccination must be administered at least 30 days before departure but within 365 days of travel.
- Additional Vaccines for Dogs: Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Hepatitis (DHLPP).
- Additional Vaccines for Cats: Feline Cat Flu-Feline Calicivirus, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydia Psittaci, Cat Enteritis-Feline Panleukopaenia/Feline Parvovirus
These vaccines must be no less than 21 days old at the time of arrival in Vietnam and no more than one year old. Vaccines play an important role in your pet’s health before, during, and after they travel. They not only ensure your pet remains healthy during a move but also work to protect local pets from diseases - International Health Certificate: An international Health Certificate issued by the official government veterinarian of the country of origin is required. Health Certificate must be still valid when pet arrives in Vietnam.
